Fixing it to the wall

Engraved wood is light for its size, so ordinary fixings are enough. Mark the position before drilling, since a piece this thick is difficult to reposition invisibly afterwards.

A piece intended to hang needs more presence than one on a desk. 10×8 and 12×8 hold a wall; the smaller sizes disappear on one.
