Contrast is what the laser needs

Engraving reads light and shadow. A photograph with clear separation between the two comes out sharp. A flat, evenly lit image, or one shot against a bright window, engraves as an indistinct grey.

Backgrounds disappear

What kind of photo engraves best?

A well-lit photograph with strong contrast and a simple background. Faces close to the camera hold detail; distant or backlit subjects tend to come out flat.

Can you remove a distracting background?

Background edits can be done on request. Tell us what you would like changed when ordering and our design team will confirm.

Can I see a preview before production?

Yes, a preview can be shared on request before anything is engraved.

Is the engraving waterproof?

No. It is an indoor keepsake, so keep it away from water and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. A large display piece is the large wooden engraving gifts.
