Hospital wear against home wear
At home nothing needs to look like anything. In hospital the baby is photographed, met by relatives and taken home in the same outfit, so the one garment does several jobs at once. A close alternative is our light green newborn baby T-shirt listing.
Why 0-3 is right for this one
It is the only occasion where the smallest band is unarguably correct. The baby T-shirt is worn on the day it is needed rather than months later.
Ordering before the due date
Order early enough that it is packed rather than in transit. Processing is typically one to two working days and delivery depends on your location.
Packed ready to give
Every order is packed carefully for transit, and gift packing is available on request for a small extra charge if it is going to somebody else. Look through our light green fashion baby T-shirt listing.
What to print for a first outfit
The name if it is decided, otherwise a short word or the surname. Fifteen characters including spaces. Compare it with our red everyday style baby T-shirt listing.
What to pack it with
One baby T-shirt on the baby and one spare in the bag is the usual arrangement, since the first outfit rarely survives the journey home intact. You can send the photograph and the details over WhatsApp instead of uploading them.
Frequently asked questions about baby t-shirts
Which size for a hospital bag?
0-3 months, since it is worn on the day rather than later. Check the size chart before ordering.
How far ahead should I order?
Early enough to be packed rather than in transit. Processing is typically one to two working days, with delivery depending on your location.
Is gift packing available?
Yes, on request for a small extra charge.
What should be printed if the name is undecided?
A short word, a month or the family surname.
Are the inks safe for a newborn?
Yes, non-toxic inks on baby-safe cotton.
Is this a romper or a baby T-shirt?
Both words describe it. Most parents search for a baby T-shirt, while the trade calls it a romper or onesie. It is a soft cotton half sleeve piece that fastens underneath with snap buttons.
