Nine Polaroid-style prints is the smallest set we make, and for most people it is the right place to start. Each print is 3.5×3.5 inches on 300 GSM coated paper board, matte, with a classic white border. Upload your own photos and we print them to order.

Why nine is the minimum

Below nine the prints stop working as a group. Polaroid-style prints are a wall arrangement rather than individual pictures, and a set of four reads as an accident rather than as a decision. Nine makes a three by three square, which is why the range starts there. Everything is reproduced by high-resolution digital printing, and your uploaded images are deleted from our system as soon as the order is dispatched. A four by four square instead is our set of 16.

Choosing nine out of four hundred

Pick from different days rather than choosing the best nine photographs, because nine good pictures of the same afternoon simply look like one afternoon. Nine ordinary ones spread across a year look like a year, and an arrangement that covers a year is what people actually stop and read on a wall.

Nine against eighteen

Nine is a decision. Eighteen is a collection, and it is the point at which people usually stop curating and start including. If you already know you have more than a dozen you want up, order our set of 18 Polaroid prints rather than adding a second set later.

What arrives, and what does not
