A3 Poster Printing Online
297×420 mm is A3, and an A3 poster is the size most shops, clinics and colleges actually put on the wall. Upload your own artwork, pick 150, 170 or 250 GSM art paper, and it is printed with eco solvent inks in portrait or landscape.
Why A3 is the working size
It reads from two metres, which is roughly the distance at which somebody walking past decides whether to stop. It also fits standard poster frames and most display stands, so it goes up without anything being cut or bought.

Choosing between the three papers
150 GSM is the lightest and cheapest, and fine for a poster that comes down in a fortnight. 170 GSM is the one we recommend, because it holds its shape on a wall without curling. 250 GSM feels substantially heavier and suits anything that will be handled or framed, as on our 12×18 inch poster.
A3 against A2
A2 doubles the area again and starts to need a wall of its own. If your poster is competing with shelving, signage and other notices, A2 wins. If it has a clear space, A3 is enough. See our A1 poster for the larger end.
