Personalised Folder Style Wedding Card

Unlike the design, which is looked at, the paper on a personalised folder style wedding card is felt before anything is read. Six stocks are offered, from 250 GSM glossy to 300 GSM ivory. Personalise the card with your names, photographs, wording, fonts and colours.

Folder style card specification

• Sizes 6.25 x 4, 9 x 6 and 11.7 x 8.7 inches
• Layouts vertical, horizontal, DL vertical and DL horizontal
• Printing front only, or front and back, in high-resolution full colour
• Envelopes no cover, plain or printed, sized to the card

Weight against texture

300 GSM ivory is the heaviest card here and it feels it. The 280 GSM textured papers are slightly lighter but have surface interest instead. Neither is better. Decide whether you want the card to feel substantial or to feel worked. A plainer treatment sits in our classic wedding invitation.

Photographs and the paper under them

An engagement or wedding photograph can be printed alongside your names and event details, and glossy stock is the smoothest ground for skin tones. On linen or needle point the texture breaks up fine detail, so keep photographs simple if you want a textured paper.

Printing on both sides

Front only, or front and back. The second surface is where the ceremony details, the schedule and the family names usually go. It is also where a religious symbol such as Om, a cross or Ganesha is normally placed.

Ordering enough of them

Count households, not guests, then add ten per cent. A short reprint later means setting the job up a second time. Bulk pricing is available for larger quantities, so order the full list in one go. Spare covers are in our 9 x 6 inch envelope listing.

When a folded card is not enough

Where the design is the point rather than the paper, our designer wedding invitation is the more elaborate option. Our design team can build the layout for you at an additional charge.
