Printing names on the envelopes

For a wedding, printed guest names look considerably better than handwritten ones on a hundred envelopes, and they take an afternoon less. Send one clean list, spelled as each guest should see it. A misspelling on an envelope is noticed before the card inside is read.

Order more than the guest list

Sealing and handling

Envelope paper is not waterproof, so a stack addressed in fountain pen wants to be kept dry until it is posted. Seal them the day they go out rather than a week early, because a gummed flap left in humid air seals itself.
